Founded in 2003, Zebrabox has established itself as the market leader in the Swiss self storage sector. In 2008, the company acquired Transmi Ministorage AG, created in 1979 in Zurich-Oerlikon. This strategic acquisition propelled Zebrabox to become the longest-serving self storage provider in continental Europe.

The very distinctive name of the company stands for the diversity of its customers. All have a storage need and are individuals seeking tailor made solutions, which the company is happy to provide.

Today, Zebrabox’s clientele totalises about 6,000 active customers and offers storage facilities totalling approximately 35,000 square meters NLA, comprising of 6,900 storage units across 13 locations.

Zebrabox currently concentrates in urban areas in the German and French speaking parts of Switzerland, with two more locations to be added in 2024. As part of its expansion strategy, Zebrabox initiated a franchise partnership within the Spanish market in 2023.
