HR and Recruitment Coordinator

To lead on all recruitment activity and provide general administrative support to the HR department, ensuring that employee data is processed and maintained efficiently both on local drives and third-party systems.

Reports to: HR Manager

Responsibilities and duties for the role will include:

  • Overall management of the following processes:
    • Recruitment (setting up and conducting interviews, proactive resourcing of candidates using a variety of methods, and compiling contractual paperwork)
    • Onboarding (posting welcome packs to new starters, obtaining references, and ensuring right to work checks take place)
    • Induction (overseeing induction content in our learning management system (Eloomi) and defining a framework for line managers to follow)
    • Probation (collating paperwork and enrolling employees on to the private medical insurance scheme)
    • Leaving the company (issuing acknowledgement of resignation letters and completing exit interviews)
  • Managing and monitoring the progress of temporary workers process, including reporting on cost and performance
  • Maintaining job descriptions and interview guides for all roles
  • Ensuring that all employee records are kept fully up to date
  • Configuring HR software to ensure they are being used to full capacity
  • Supporting team members with any other HR systems and processes (benefits, learning management
  • Updating and maintaining organisational charts and monthly FTE reports
  • Additional ad-hoc reporting and project work where required

Key Attributes / Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent written communication and superb attention to detail in both formal documentation and informal communications
  • Some previous HR experience is required; strong administrative skills are a necessity
  • Experience undertaking recruitment activities within a volume recruitment based organisation
  • A good level of computer literacy; Excel experience is a necessity
  • Analytical, numerate, problem solving
  • A basic understanding of the requirements around GDPR legislation
  • Professional integrity and confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal and customer-facing skills
  • Self-motivated and focused, with excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Committed to ongoing improvement, and collaborating with other departments in order to suggest and promote new ideas
  • Willing to travel to other Janus Europe sites – primarily Peterlee – regularly (approximately 1-2 days every 1-2 weeks)
