At Janus International Europe, we are dedicated to going beyond our business operations to make a positive impact within the community. As part of our ongoing commitment to giving back, we have established a scheme that provides financial support, donations and sponsorship to local clubs, schools, and charities.
One of the innovative ways we support community initiatives is through our employee-driven donation scheme. Each month, our employees nominate charities close to their hearts, to receive a donation from Janus. This year alone, we have supported over 20 various charitable causes, local clubs and schools, including Felling Magpies FC, Homegroup Wellbeing, The Mulberry Centre, Heathmere Primary School and many more.
Our support doesn’t stop at financial contributions. We actively seek opportunities to collaborate with local organisations, lending our expertise and resources to help them thrive. Janus employees are offered 2 days’ volunteer leave to support local community initiatives, this quarter the team were involved in a beach clean-up organised by the Marine Conservation Society in Seaton Carew. The team removed harmful litter from the beach, stopping it from reaching the ocean while collecting vital data to bring about positive change to our seas! In addition, the team recently embarked on an adventure to climb Ben Nevis for the charity Action Duchenne. We are always eager to roll up our sleeves and get involved!
Sustainability is not just a buzzword, it’s a cornerstone of our values. By donating timber for arts and craft and outdoor learning activities, we not only provide essential materials to local schools and charities but also promote a circular economy through reusing resources creatively.
