Responsibilities and duties for the role will include:
- Project managing complex and larger-scale projects, monitoring them, to ensure all aspects of a job are appropriately scoped and costed, and delivery milestone risks identified and mitigated
- Managing contract valuations
- Managing subcontractor installation performance and adherence to contracts and implementing corrective action as required
- Supervising any projects that require JCT/framework contracts, ensuring all contractual obligations are closely monitored and effectively documented
- Liaising and coordinating within the Operations team for projects that require CDM, assisting to ensure compliance with all necessary legislation
- Seamlessly controlling projects from sales handover to client handover
- Coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
- Coordinating purchasing, ordering and expediting of materials both in-house and from external suppliers
- Providing technical support and liaising between the Sales team, the Production team and the client
- Ability to work in primary or subcontractor role depending on project requirements
- Financial accountability for performance, as well as ensuring any contract variations are properly scoped and charged to customers
- Forecasting on-site project progress for revenue and gross reporting for own projects
- Promoting good practices and operational excellence to enhance internal performance to ensure customer satisfaction
Key Attributes / Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience within the construction environment, including principle, main and subcontractor obligations, with an ability to hold yourself and other contractors to account
- Significant JCT/building contracts experience, including negotiation and programme recovery
- An ability to facilitate and lead programme recovery meetings with clients, subcontractors and project managers, including in high pressure situations
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
- An effective communicator and calm manner, with a problem-solving mindset
- Competency with the CDM Regulations 2015 and other appropriate construction standards
- SSS (Site, Safety and Supervisor) training qualification or SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualification
- European languages (desirable)
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work within an ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics Navision) to evaluate project financial performance
