As Bonnys Great Yarmouth facility is a three-hour drive from their London sites, managing it remotely posed a significant challenge. Employing an on-site member of staff was not a viable option for the initial phase, as the facility, at under 10,000 sq. ft., would not generate enough workload. Additionally, the logistical complexities of managing staff remotely, alongside the need for sick and holiday cover, made this approach impractical.

James has always believed that the future of self storage lies in unmanned operations, so he wanted to future-proof his business by adopting this model from the outset rather than transitioning later.

Recognising that the ability to conduct remote tours and provide seamless access for customers would be critical, James reached out to Janus.
